Dominic Armstrong

  • Dominic’s horticultural journey is a unique blend of science and nature. Having grown up in the family business, his early years were spent nurturing plants and learning the ins and outs of both the garden centre and nursery site.

    Dominic spent a decade working in the pharmaceutical industry, honing his analytical and research skills. This experience in the scientific world has given him a unique perspective on horticulture, blending scientific precision with the art of gardening.

    Returning to his roots, Dominic is now a driving force at Glenavy Garden Centre, applying his scientific acumen to the world of plants. His primary focus lies in bedding plants, where he strives to innovate in the ways plants are grown and displayed. Dominic's goal is to ensure year-round colour and create vibrant environments that are not just visually stunning but also beneficial for native species and homeowners.
